Studied Art at the Academie National de Bellas Artes in Mexico City after entering a portrait of the Governor of Monterey in a contest and winning a scholarship. Fourteen years study in Paris. Became Director of the Academie in Mexico City. Moved to Los Angeles in 1929 where he painted Portraits and Mexican rural scenes. Exhibited in Paris Salon 1906 (prize). LACMA 1930, California Pacific International Expo in 1935. Scripps College 1945 and many other Galleries and exhibitions, winning prizes and medals. |
